Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Upper Legs.

Arrive with clean, dry skin free of lotions or oils. Hair should be about a quarter inch long for effective removal. Avoid heavy sun exposure or retinoids for 48 hours prior. If unsure, ask when booking.

Some discomfort is normal, but our trained estheticians use techniques to minimize pain, including proper tension and quick pulls. Upper legs waxing typically takes 20 to 30 minutes depending on coverage and hair thickness, and sensitivity decreases with regular waxing.

Shaving between waxing appointments reduces effectiveness and encourages rapid regrowth. For best results, avoid shaving; allow hair to grow about a quarter inch before your next appointment. If you accidentally shave, reschedule to allow sufficient hair length for safe waxing.

After waxing, avoid hot baths, intense exercise, and sun exposure for 24 to 48 hours. Wear loose clothing and apply a soothing, fragrance-free moisturizer or aloe. Begin gentle exfoliation after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs and maintain smooth results.

Certain conditions and medications may affect waxing safety: active sunburn, open wounds, recent chemical peels, use of isotretinoin (Accutane), or bleeding disorders. Varicose veins require special care. Always disclose medications and medical history so we can adapt services or recommend alternatives.

Most clients return every four to six weeks to maintain smooth upper legs. Timing depends on individual hair growth and desired look. Your esthetician can recommend a personalized schedule based on regrowth rate and comfort level.
